Somatic Therapy & Heal Her Workshops with Tatiana Zamir
Tatiana Zamir is a healing arts conductor, performance artist, and trauma-informed movement therapist who has been walking a path of evolution, transformation, and deep personal inquiry her whole life. In her somatic healing offerings, she employs her unique movement therapy method developed over a lifetime of training and exploration of the body as a vehicle for our highest destiny. From her base in Los Angeles, her work has taken her to Bulgaria, Argentina, Namibia, Senegal, Cuba, Mexico, and Bali. In 2020 she received the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Grant from SoCal Grantmakers to support her ongoing choreographic project In My Skin. As both a healer and an artist, Tatiana holds a uniquely compassionate space, which catalyzes transformation and aids people around the world to embody their joy and live unapologetic, creatively-fulfilled lives — whether in her Afro-Joy Dance classes, her performance art, or movement therapy-based healing arts workshops and retreats. Yoga & Dance with Marina Magalhães
Marina Magalhães is a border-crosser, bridge-builder, and dance-maker from Brazil living on unceded Tongva land, currently known as Los Ángeles. Her choreography has earned multiple awards and been called, “stirring... hypnotic,” by the LA Times. She has fifteen years of experience designing and teaching movement-based classes for bodies of all ages/levels throughout the world (the US, Brazil, Cuba Botswana, South Africa, France, Bali)—most notably, the beloved Dancing Diaspora platform she ran from 2017-2021 in LA. Her yoga classes are rooted in the Hatha yoga tradition, and through heart-centered and nourishing asana practice, invite yogis to cultivate a deeper listening of their bodies that spills out from the mat to all aspects of their lives. Her dance classes live at the intersection of somatics and Afro-Latin social dances, offering a unique and inclusive experience of sacred play. She holds a 200-hr YTT certification from Cloud Nine Yoga, a B.A. degree in World Arts & Cultures/Dance from UCLA, and an M.F.A. degree in Dance from University of the Arts. www.marinamagalhaes.com
Connect to the land with Malaika Maitland
With family roots in Grenada, Malaika Brooks-Smith-Lowe is a yoga therapist, pregnancy, labor & postpartum doula, and new mama. Malaika was recognized internationally as one of 20 Yoga Teachers of Color to Watch and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She co-founded Spice Harmony Yoga in Grenada alongside her parents and has trained as a doula the International Center for Traditional Childbearing and Mama Glow. Malaika holds a Bachelors in Studio Art from Smith College, and a Masters in Cultural Studies from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Her photography, film and mixed-media artwork has been exhibited locally and internationally, and she is an official photographer for the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance Conferences. Retreat Schedule
Daily offerings at True Blue Bay Resort, will be a combination of yoga, dance and healing workshops. You’re welcome to choose the combination of methodologies that support your retreat intentions. You'll also have time to partake in your best Carribean life – swimming, spa services, beautiful spots for reading and relaxing are steps away.
Retreat Location
Indulge in 7 days and 6 nights at a unique and colorful boutique resort, surrounded by tropical gardens overlooking the spectacular waters of True Blue Bay. Daily housekeeping, air-conditioned rooms and access to resort facilities such as spa, boutique, yoga studio, and four relaxing pools. You can also experience free non-motorized sports such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and hobie-cat sailing. The retreat location is a short distance from the airport, restaurants, shopping, the world-famous white sand Grand Anse Beach, and other activities where you can easily enjoy all the island has to offer.
Experience Grenada
Our day trips will include visiting some of Grenada’s most breathtaking views, gorgeous beaches, Belmont Estate historical chocolate factory, Grand Etang Rain Forest, Annandale Waterfall and various ways of connecting with the culture and land.
Meals
Most meals will be at the resort's restaurant which offers colorful oceanfront alfresco dining with comfortable seating, stunning views and friendly service. You can taste authentic Grenadian meals or choose from a variety of international cuisine spiced with flavors from Grenada and the Caribbean region. The menus can cater to vegans, vegetarians, gluten free, paleo and other dietary needs. Additionally on certain nights, entertainment will be provided by some of the best live bands on the island.

What’s Included:
Accommodation: 7 days and 6 nights at a unique and colourful boutique resort, surrounded by tropical gardens and the spectacular waters of True Blue Bay. Check-in is at 3pm on Saturday, May 21st and check-out is at 12pm on Sunday, May 27th.
Yoga, Dance and Healing: On full retreat days, a combination of workshops will be offered to nurture the mind, body and spirit.
On-Site Activities: True Blue Bay Resort offers numerous activities with a special emphasis on water sports. Guests can go kayaking, hobie-cat sailing, ride water bicycles or have a swim in one of the four pools. Free transportation is also provided to visit beautiful beaches nearby such as Grand Anse Beach.
Island Tour: We will go on one full day trip plus one partial day trip exploring some of the most beautiful places in Grenada. Meals, activities and cost of transportation around the island is covered during our day trips.
Delicious Meals: A total of 17 meals will be provided: 1 orientation dinner, 3 meals on full retreat days and 1 closing breakfast -- along with desserts and unlimited drinks, including purified water.
Airport Transportation: Airport transportation to and from True Blue Bay Resort is offered within two days of the retreat start and end date.
What’s Not Included: Airfare: Once you register, your welcome message will include suggestions for competitive airfare options.
Additional Meals: Alcoholic drinks and any additional meals beyond the 17 that are included.
Travel Insurance: There are doctors on call at the retreat site and a hospital about 20 minutes away from our main location. However, travel insurance is highly recommended should an accident occur. Health insurance is covered in certain travel insurance packages, which can also cover baggage loss and trip cancellation.
Additional Experiences: Additional experiences such as spa treatments and other adventures that are not included in the retreat itenerary.

Refunds on the balance are given for cancellations made by April 22nd. No refunds available after this date. Refunds on the total retreat fee will only be given to participants if the host needs to cancel or reschedule.
